Mayor Terry Matthews read a resignation and moved to fill two village staff vacancies during the July 13 Board of Trustees meeting.
Trustee Eric Stanton moved to appoint Lisa Estock as Deputy Clerk, seconded by Trustee Rose Ann Diederich. The board voted 6 to 0 in favor and Clerk Catherine Linan administered the oath to Estock during the meeting.
Mayor Matthews then presented Brandi Azbill for appointment as Village Treasurer and Finance Director, noting Azbill had previously worked with the village through an accounting firm and accepted the village position after another role did not work out. Trustee Stanton moved to appoint Azbill; the motion carried 6 to 0 and Clerk Linan swore her in.
Both appointments were recorded as unanimous roll call votes with no nays. The appointments were presented as personnel actions to fill positions vacated earlier; no salary or contract terms were specified in the meeting record.
