Principals report enrollment, student recognitions, extracurricular results

Claudia Mordecai, Junior-Senior High Principal, told the board on Nov. 17 that the district's October snapshot showed 180 high-school students and 114 junior-high students, for a total enrollment of 294. Mordecai named Students of the Month and noted FFA accomplishments, including four banners and Mitchell Olds advancing to Area in Junior Creed Speaking, and upcoming assemblies on bullying and kindness.
Stephen Williams, Elementary Principal, reported Elementary Students of the Month (Ryan Driskall and Mia Salas), Teachers of the Month (Reba Taylor and Savannah Rychlik) and Support Staff of the Month (Chedette Hollis and Lori Boyd). Williams said teachers have reviewed beginning-of-year data, placed students in tiers for targeted interventions and are meeting bi-weekly to disaggregate progress data.
These updates were recorded in the meeting attachments and were provided as informational reports to the board; no board action was required beyond acknowledgement in the minutes.
