The Alamo Heights Independent School District Board of Trustees voted unanimously Nov. 14 to add two new courses at Alamo Heights High School for the 2025–26 academic year. Charlotte Dolat, AHHS academic dean, presented proposals for "College Algebra Math" and "Fundamentals of Visual Art," and the board approved the courses on a motion by Trustee Ty Edwards, seconded by Trustee Lauren McLaughlin.
The approval was recorded as unanimous; six trustees were present and one member was absent. The course additions were discussed as part of the board's Pillar I agenda item on student learning and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). No implementation timeline or enrollment caps were specified in the minutes.
