Grounds superintendent reports on Paleo Park bench, mowing adjustments and homeowner construction near EDRA

Grounds Superintendent Tim Gatz told the board he would confirm whether an additional bench had been installed in Paleo Park and that mowing of different retention areas had been adjusted; he said it will take time to evaluate whether the changes are sufficient.
Regarding a concern raised by Supervisor Michael Walsh about a resident's construction encroaching on the EDRA and damaging the bank, Mr. Gatz said he "confirmed that the homeowner obtained all the proper permits and approvals; they will have to wait until construction is completed to determine if any erosion issues arise." The board agreed to monitor the site after construction is complete and to revisit any remediation if erosion is observed.
Mr. Gatz also agreed to inspect reported downed CDD trees and to notify Chair Lonergan when residents contact him, consistent with the district's protocol.
