District Manager Chuck Adams presented Resolution 2025-02 to amend the Fiscal Year 2023/24 budget, explaining the amendment was needed to reflect a major expenditure for a new lawnmower and to provide clearer columns for Actual versus Adopted Budget and Proposed Increase/(Decrease).
The resolution increases the "Operations and maintenance - Contingencies" line item by $20,000 to accommodate potential journal entries; Adams stated the funds will remain in Surplus Fund Balance if unused. Chair Kathleen Lonergan reported the Tax Collector's Office will issue a refund of $1,298 related to the budget difference. The board adopted the amended budget on a motion by Michael Walsh, seconded by Stephen Putman, with all in favor.
