The proclamation described Logue's eight years as library director, prior service in the Cambridge (Mass.) library system, leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic, and completion of several capital projects while in Newport.
Logue accepted the recognition and thanked council members, trustees and staff. "This is deeply, deeply meaningful," he said, noting staff and volunteers who supported the library's work.
