The Allen Independent School District Board of Trustees on Sept. 23 recognized 42 Allen High School students named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit program. The board noted the semifinalists were selected from more than 16,000 students nationwide.
The board read the roster of semifinalists during the meeting. The district listed names including Harith Ali, An Luu, Harish Madhu, Dorothy Chen, Andrew Chou and Joseph Park among the students honored. Board members said the recognition celebrates student academic achievement across Allen High School.
