Academy ISD board approves consent agenda; one abstention

The Academy Independent School District Board of Trustees approved its consent agenda at the Feb. 19, 2025 regular meeting. Jennifer Burnett moved and Adam Fossett seconded "to approve the consent agenda items as presented," and the motion passed with Alex Bass abstaining.
The consent agenda covered routine items: the January regular meeting minutes, January expenditures and budget amendments. The board then considered several items that required individual action: a professional services agreement for Chapter 313 agreement reporting and two TASB/EIC policy updates, each of which the board approved on second reading during the same meeting.
Board members present at the vote were Calvin Eshbaugh, Jennifer Burnett, Amy Adcock, Alex Bass, Adam Fossett and Dana White. The Chapter 313 reporting agreement and the policy updates were each approved unanimously after separate motions by trustees.
