The Planning Board approved minutes from its July 29 meeting by a 6-0-1 vote (John Tirrell recorded as the abstention). Town Planner Jason Bachand informed the board that Steve Chase has resigned as an Alternate effective with his move out of the area; Chase had served as an Alternate since 2017 and the board expressed thanks for his service.
Board members reported on committee work: Chair Sharon Mullen said the 79-E Advisory Committee is developing public-benefit criteria and a substantial rehabilitation threshold; John Tirrell said the Conservation Commission will be preparing a zoning amendment and that Conservation Coordinator Ms. Hagan will brief the Planning Board; and Keith Lessard relayed Hampton Beach Area Commission support for a town Economic Development Committee that would include an HBAC seat. The board also noted the Master Plan Implementation Committee will have a final tabling event at the Hampton Farmers Market on Aug. 8, and that UNH Cooperative Extension contact Nate Bernitz plans to meet with staff about a Community Business Engagement program in September.
