The Board adopted multiple policy updates on March 19, including a final reading of revised board policies, adoption of Special Education Model Policies with specified local modifications, and administrative guideline and form revisions. The district's policy update package (Neola Vol. 43, No. 2) included revisions and new policies ranging from College Credit Plus (po2271) to a proposed Drug-Free Workplace policy (po1422.01) and changes to restroom and locker-room policy language.
Separately, the Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with Cuyahoga Community College for the College Credit Plus (CCP) program. The MOU (effective for the 2025–26 academic year) spells out eligibility (grades 7–12), counseling requirements, textbook cost-sharing, reporting duties and instructor-credential requirements. The agreement states the School District is responsible for the first $50 for each textbook when the Ohio Department of Education reimburses the College a prescribed amount per credit hour, and it outlines notification and data-sharing timelines required by ORC 3365.
Board members moved and seconded the related resolutions (mover: Tish Kwiatkowski; seconder: Ellen Kramer) and approved them by unanimous roll call. The board directed the superintendent and staff to implement the adopted policy changes and to post required program information and forms as described in the MOU and policy guidance.
