Planning Board approves Quinn’s Corner change of use for charcuterie and wine tasting

The Hampton Planning Board on Aug. 5 granted a unanimous (7-0-0) change-of-use approval for 32 Depot Square, clearing the way for Quinn’s Corner, a specialty retail shop offering charcuterie products, grazing tables for catered events, pickup/delivery and wine tasting. Applicant Shannon Keane told the board she plans hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closed Sundays, and ideally to open Oct. 1.
Keane said the upstairs space will be a children’s play area to be used while parents are in the establishment and confirmed it will not be operated as a daycare. She also said the only seating will be outside on the deck and the landlord is arranging to add bike racks to the property. “I believe the rail-trail will be a real gamechanger for Hampton,” Keane said, citing the location’s community access near the trail.
Chair Sharon Mullen asked whether Keane had applied for a liquor license; Keane said she would wait to pursue licensing after receiving the change-of-use approval. The board moved to grant the application (motion by Keith Lessard; second by Ryan Pope) and the motion passed 7-0-0. The approval does not itself grant any state liquor licenses or other permits required for alcohol service.
