Board approves College Credit Plus MOUs with LCCC and University of Akron

The board reviewed and accepted Memoranda of Understanding for College Credit Plus (CCP) partnerships with Lorain County Community College and the University of Akron. The LCCC MOU outlines a cost-share tuition floor ($41.64 per credit hour for high-school-taught LCCC adjunct courses), faculty credentialing standards and the MyUniversity Guarantee pathways; the agreement term is July 1, 2025–June 30, 2026.
The University of Akron MOU defines five delivery formats (high-school-teacher-as-adjunct, online, distance learning, UA faculty at high-school site, and students attending UA campus), textbook responsibilities, cost-sharing formulas tied to Ohio Department of Higher Education floor/mid/ceiling rates and procedural items such as cancellations, placement testing and ADA accommodations. Both agreements reference Ohio Revised Code Chapter 3365 requirements and require the district to provide space, technology and coordination with college advisors.
Board members approved the MOUs as part of the consent agenda. The agreements instruct district staff to finalize implementation tasks including publishing CCP pathways, ensuring faculty meet credential requirements, and coordinating student advising with each partner institution.
