Board approves consent agenda, personnel actions and service agreements

On Jan. 15 the Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District board unanimously adopted the consent agenda (Resolution 2025-17), approving certified and classified personnel recommendations, handbooks, the ESC primary service agreement, donations and the check register.
The Brecksville-Broadview Heights City School District Board of Education unanimously approved the consent agenda (Resolution 2025-17) at its Jan. 15 regular meeting, adopting certified and classified personnel recommendations, supplemental personnel actions, two versions of the Beekeepers handbook, an ESC primary service agreement, donations and the district check register.
Tish Kwiatkowski moved to adopt the consent agenda; Ellen Kramer seconded the motion. The minutes record a roll call of five yeas and the President declared the resolution adopted.
Among items included in the consent packet were personnel listings and staffing changes for certified and classified employees (appointments, leaves and retirements), a listing of donations to the middle school stage crew (amounts ranged from $6 to $270 from individual donors and $240 from Highland Construction to the high-school girls basketball program), and approval to retain the check register and bank reconciliations for December 2024 as presented.
Also attached and approved as part of the consent agenda was a Primary Service Agreement with the Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio under O.R.C. 3313.843 covering July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. The agreement specifies a state-deduct per-pupil amount and describes services ESCNEO will provide and reporting requirements.
The board scheduled its organizational meeting for Feb. 12, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.; the Jan. 15 meeting adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
