Downtown façade grant program funds six projects; small balance remains

Planning staff told commissioners the downtown façade grant program funded six projects this year and staff have signed the sixth agreement.
"We've had 6 project grant agreements awarded, and I we literally just signed 1 again today," staff said, noting the program has a little under $3,000 remaining in the budget. Staff said they will include before-and-after photos of the grant-funded buildings in the annual report and that the program was recommended in prior planning and historic-preservation work.
Commissioners were given the update for informational purposes; staff did not request additional funding during the meeting.
