Presenters Wade Zimmer and Phoebe Latham said a temporary road has been built and "about 1/3 of the piers are in." They told the board that concrete and materials testing will cost $48,000 and that state law requires life/safety inspections even though the project does not otherwise require permits.
Zimmer and Latham said the district will need an independent third party for the required inspections and provided a cost breakdown: $19,000 for third‑party life/safety inspections, $16,500 for plumbing/electrical/structural inspections and $2,500 for fire safety inspections. They reported $103,000 remaining in district contingency and $147,227 remaining in contractor contingency, and stated the inspection costs "will come out of the contractor contingency." The board did not take additional action during the update; no vote was recorded on funding changes.
