Anna ISD board approves consent items, audit, CTE spending and account signature change

The Anna Independent School District Board of Trustees approved a slate of routine and financial items at its regular meeting on Dec. 16, 2024.
The board unanimously approved the consent agenda—minutes from Nov. 5 and Nov. 14, monthly revenues and expenses, a budget amendment, and the 2024–2025 Virtual Homebound Waiver (Policy EEH)—on a motion by Tiffany Terry seconded by Monty Renfro. Later, the board unanimously approved the districtfinancial audit for the 2023–24 school year as presented by Hankins, Eastup, Deaton, Tonn & Seay (presenter Heather LaPoint).
The board approved a Career and Technical Education (CTE) technology replacement and upgrade not to exceed $234,000 on a motion by Tiffany Terry seconded by Jason Adams. The board also adopted the Yearly Investment Report as presented by Chief Financial Officer DeDe Day, and on a motion by Jason Adams seconded by Shonda Rupe authorized moving all signature rights for district accounts (Texas Bank, TexPool and TxStar) to Interim Superintendent Rod Townsend and removing Michael Comeaux from those accounts effective Dec. 16, 2024.
The meeting adjourned at 9:21 PM after routine superintendent remarks. All motions recorded in the minutes carried unanimously.
