Superintendent Theodore Clevenger told the board Dec. 15 that major facilities work is progressing: new cafeteria tables and appliances have been delivered, flooring and millwork are in progress, the stage and ramp are nearly complete, and the district is awaiting a fire marshal walkthrough with a target of Jan. 5 for readiness. He said the old cafeteria’s ice machine will be repurposed for athletics and that the gym floor and bleachers are finished.
Clevenger also said the district is "looking at reconvening the long-range facility committee and possibly holding another no tax increase bond election." No formal bond resolution was presented at the meeting; the comment was offered as part of the superintendent’s report and would require future board action to proceed.
