Shelby County to apply for ALDOT safety grant for County Road 13; pledges 20% local match up to $60,000

The commission agreed to fund a local matching share equal to 20% of any grant award, up to $60,000. Commissioner Lindsey Allison moved to approve the grant application and Commissioner Robbie Hayes seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Staff will pursue the grant application and, if awarded, coordinate project design and construction with ALDOT and county road crews.
