Creekside skatepark: grant reimbursement filing and contractor follow-up for crumbling corners

District staff submitted the payment request package for Per Capita grant reimbursement for Creekside solar and skatepark improvements on Sept. 18; on Oct. 7 the Office of General Assistance and Local Services (OGALS) requested additional documentation and Marina McTaggart said she would supply the materials.
Separately, committee members reported crumbling at some corners of recent construction at Creekside Skatepark. The minutes state that the improvements made by Gillis Construction remain under warranty and that Brian Grant will ask Greg Gillis to assess and remedy the situation before the rainy season.
The committee also hosted a tour by the Anderson Valley Skatepark Project student leadership group on Oct. 1, which district staff and Praxis Architects described as educational and informative. Staff will continue to coordinate grant paperwork and contractor repairs; timing for repairs depends on contractor scheduling and documentation requested by OGALS.
