Board awards $12,500 roof replacement contract to E. Sanchez Roofing

Committee materials presented to the board showed three bids for the work: Sanchez Roofing ($12,500), Northbay Roofing and Gutters ($34,200) and Gorilla Roofing ($24,000). The Facilities Committee recommended accepting the Sanchez proposal; Director David Gatlin moved to accept the recommendation and Allison Baumhefner seconded. A roll-call vote recorded ayes from Chair Steve Baxman, Baumhefner and Gatlin.
The minutes note Sanchez Roofing previously replaced the other side of the roof. The board did not discuss additional funding sources at the meeting; procurement details and timing were left to district staff and the Facilities Committee to implement.
