The Bartlett ISD Board voted Monday to adopt an updated student conduct policy (FNCE[LOCAL]) that prohibits the use of personal communication devices by students on school property during the school day, a change made to comply with state law HB1481.
Trustee Sheri Braun moved to adopt the policy; Trustee Meg Bernstein seconded. The motion passed 7-0. Secondary Principal Dr. Bryan Hernandez told the Board the district’s new cell-phone policy is already being followed by students and is helping focus classroom attention.
