Big Sandy ISD trustees approve personnel actions, new hires and retirements

The Big Sandy ISD Board of Trustees approved several personnel actions at its April 14 meeting. After an executive session under Govt. Code: 551.074, the board approved teacher contracts for the 2025–2026 school year by a unanimous vote of members present. In the same set of personnel actions trustees approved resignations from Ronnie Waid, Briston Rains, Cy Ragsdale and Elisa Henninger on the Secondary Campus and Linda Wilcox at the Elementary School, and accepted the retirement of Shana Schneider from the Secondary Campus. The resignations and retirement were approved on a motion by Jamey Childress, seconded by Will Brahic; the recorded vote was Yea: 6, Nay: 0, Absent: 1.
