Big Sandy students demonstrate GT robotics; students of the month honored
Summary
1st–3rd grade GT Robotics students demonstrated robots and described completed challenges; campus principals presented Students of the Month across elementary, junior-high and high-school levels. Presenters included Mrs. Blavier, Mrs. Brenner and campus principals.
Teachers Mrs. Blavier and Mrs. Brenner presented the 1st–3rd grade GT Robotics team and the students demonstrated the robots and the challenges they had to accomplish. The demonstration highlighted hands-on STEM activities for early grades and was part of the meeting’s presentations segment.
Campus principals presented Students of the Month: elementary student Tamara Peri; junior-high students Sherlyn Martinez and Colin Taylor; and high-school students Terry Shipman and Kaycee Lansdale. Mrs. Cortinas and Mr. Burns also introduced student representatives Jordyn Brown and Kalli Yarborough during the meeting’s program segment.
