Council approves $1.1M transfer to NPAIT, SLGS bond purchase and moves to raise non-resident refuse fee

Jesse Schmidt recommended moving $1.1 million from Union Bank & Trust to NPAIT and transferring $248,387.50 into SLGS bonds per a provided schedule. Dan Zieg moved and Pete Simmons seconded both motions; roll call votes recorded yes votes from Schmidt, Simmons, Zieg and Buck and both financial motions passed.
The council also reviewed the non-resident list for the Bennet City refuse site and discussed risks if the service is stopped. The minutes record that the non-resident refuse rate will be increased to $550.00 but state that the change must be approved through the Master Fee Schedule at the next meeting.
