The Bennet City Council unanimously approved the consent agenda at its March 9 meeting, voting to adopt RESOLUTION 2026-3.1 permitting a block party for BEDA’s Firefly Festival. The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Dan Zieg and seconded by Pete Simmons; roll call was recorded as YES: Buck, Schmidt, Simmons, Zieg.
The consent agenda also included approval of minutes from the February 9, 2026 regular meeting, payment of claims and the Treasurer’s Report. The council did not separate any items for further discussion, and staff noted the festival block-party permit will proceed under the resolution approved at the meeting.
