The Board took substantial personnel actions at the March 4 meeting. Acting on the Superintendent's recommendation and pursuant to Education Code §44954, the Board directed staff to notify 112 temporary certificated employees that their contracts are expiring (dates listed in the minutes, primarily June 5, 2026). The item was moved and recorded in the minutes as a formal directive to issue notices.
During closed session the Board received briefings and authorized release, release-and-reassignment, or other actions related to 81 certificated management matters (in accordance with Education Code §44951). The Board also adopted Resolution No.14(2025-2026) — a reduction in force for classified management employees due to lack of work and/or lack of funds — covering 17 matters. Legal counsel Norma Copado reported the actions out at reconvening; motions recorded carried on recorded votes where applicable.
