The Blanco Independent School District (Blanco ISD) Board of Trustees took the following formal actions at a special meeting on Jan. 5, 2026, at the Blanco High School Library:
• Accepted the retirement letter of Superintendent Clay Rosenbaum. Motion by Board President Larry Kuebel; second by Joe Hernandez. Recorded outcome: unanimous approval ('All were in favor').
• Approved retaining the services of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to conduct a superintendent search. Motion by Aaron Lux; second by Kathy Kersten. Recorded outcome: unanimous approval ('All were in favor').
• Approved a motion to adjourn. Motion by Chad Meyer; second by Kathy Kersten. Recorded outcome: unanimous approval.
The meeting included a short executive session (6:07 p.m. to 6:11 p.m.) prior to the recorded actions and adjourned at 6:27 p.m.
