Board reconvenes and approves professional contracts, resignations and new hires
Summary
After a closed session, the board reconvened and approved professional contracts and accepted resignations of three teachers; trustees also approved two new hires including an elementary principal and an elementary special education teacher. All actions were unanimous.
Following an executive session, President Debbie Wright-Hood announced the board had reconvened at 7:34 p.m. The board approved professional contracts on a motion by Jeff Bird, seconded by Heath Jackson; the motion passed unanimously.
The board approved resignations of High School Teacher Amanda Sheffield, High School Special Ed Teacher Tammy Bush, and Elementary Special Ed Teacher Ashley Adams, on a motion by David McNamara, seconded by Russell Devorsky. The board also approved employment of Elementary Principal Katelyn Jones and Elementary Special Education Teacher Amy Rinard on a motion by Heath Jackson, seconded by Christie Harper. All votes were recorded as unanimous.
