The Angleton Independent School District Board of Education on July 22 unanimously approved an Order Calling a School Building Bond Election after a presentation from bond counsel and financial advisors.
Marcus Deitz of Orrick and Lewis Wilks of U.S. Capital Advisors presented a preliminary tax rate analysis and answered board members' questions about the potential bond election and tax impacts. Board member Dana Tolbert moved to approve the order; Michael Sillavan seconded, and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes record a unanimous vote by the six board members present (Tommy Gaines, Kimi Hunter, Dana Tolbert, Heather Brewer, Michael Sillavan and Michael Stroman).
