Bobby Walters sworn in as Centerville mayor; three new council members take office

Bobby Walters was sworn in as mayor of Centerville at the City Council's regular meeting on June 3, 2026. Outgoing Mayor Noal Ray Goolsby administered the oath; Walters then read a Mayor's Report and thanked Mr. Goolsby for his long service. "Thank you," Walters said, praising Goolsby's 46 years with the city.
Also sworn in were newly elected council members Brian Jones, Lawrence Johnson and Colton Adams. The council convened a quorum and proceeded to routine business, including minutes approvals, administrative motions and appointments. The session concluded with an adjournment at 6:32 p.m.
