Superintendent Scott Rogers presented the District's Emergency Operations Plan, noting clerical revisions recommended by the Safety and Security Committee; administration recommended approval to submit the plan to the Texas School Safety Center and the board voted 7–0 to approve. James T. Maupin III moved the Emergency Operations Plan motion; David C. Salinas seconded.
Technology Director Jake Reyes then presented a Cyber Attack Annex designed to work with the district's Cyber Incident Response Plan to prepare for cyber events. Administration recommended submission of the annex to the Texas School Safety Center; the motion by James T. Maupin III, seconded by Jose M. Lopez, passed 7–0. Both approvals move the plans into the state review and compliance process.
