The Bridge City Independent School District Board of Trustees met Jan. 23, 2025, and approved routine consent items presented by President Rebecca Rutledge, including minutes from Dec. 16, 2024 and Jan. 15, 2025, the tax collection report, cash investment report, financial report, paid invoices, utilities, surplus and fundraisers. "A motion was made by Michael Johnson and seconded by Jerry Mclnnis to approve the consent action items as presented. Motion carried unanimously." The vote was recorded as unanimous by the seven trustees present.
Trustees received brief updates from the Bridge City ISD Educational Foundation about upcoming fundraisers and a construction update from Will Clayton with Claycomb Associate Architects on the CTE and middle school building projects. No formal action was taken on the foundation update or the architect's presentation; both were provided to the board for information.
