Board President Payton Lumpkin announced that the Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the order setting a May 3, 2025 election during its Feb. 13 meeting. Mrs. Cyndee Hickman moved to approve the Order of Election and Mr. Keegan Neill seconded; the motion passed with no dissent.
The board also approved a Joint Election Order intended to coordinate administration of that election with other entities. "Motion to approve the Joint Election Order was made by Mr. Robert Bradley and seconded by Mr. Devon Thompson, with no dissenting votes, and passed unanimously," the minutes state. The approvals were recorded as unanimous votes by trustees present.
The actions were recorded under routine business and follow standard Board procedure for setting district election logistics; the minutes do not include additional details about ballot propositions or candidacy filings. The board's recorded vote was unanimous among members present.
