Burleson ISD officials reported progress on safety and security work at the board’s May 12 meeting.
Chief Operating Officer Steve Logan said the district’s Emergency Operations Plan review is complete and that three additional campuses had random intruder detection audits since the last board meeting, “and there were no findings.” Logan also reported planned camera upgrades and installation of vape sensors throughout the summer.
The minutes list the intruder-detection audit as part of closed-session security deliberations and note the district completed audits for all eighteen campuses this year with no findings reported in the minutes.
