City administration, in coordination with Parks, Police, Public Works and Community Development, presented a proposed amendment to Lynden Municipal Code Chapter 10 addressing parking conflicts at city parks, City Hall, the Annex, city‑owned lots, and public streets. The draft would allow posting of signs and contracting with a towing company to enforce regulations when requested.
Legal counsel is reviewing the draft ordinance and staff indicated the item is planned for a public hearing on Feb. 3, 2025; any edits by legal counsel will be reflected in the final version included in the upcoming council package.
