Hearing on mixed‑use development ordinance (25‑1704) delayed to Feb. 3 after notice error

Ordinance 25‑1704 would restore a portion of code inadvertently deleted in a previous amendment and make a targeted revision to small‑scale mixed‑use development regulations. Council had set a hearing for Jan. 21, but staff reported the public notice was not published a full 10 days prior to the hearing as required by code.
Because of that notice error, Councilor Brent Lenssen moved and Councilor Kyle Strengholt seconded a motion to open the hearing but table public comment and discussion until Feb. 3, 2025 so proper notice can be completed; the motion passed 7‑0. The ordinance hearing will resume on the new date with proper notice.
