The board recorded a motion by James T. Maupin III, seconded by Veronica R. Tijerina, with the vote announced as "All in favor (7-0)."
The consent package included a Memorandum of Understanding with the Community Action Corporation of South Texas Head Start Birth to Five Program (disabilities component and kindergarten transitions), legal services billed at $13,785.85 for services rendered July 16–Aug. 15, 2024, and a client proposal for the district's 2024–2025 unemployment compensation contribution. Board members were asked to contact the report authors directly with questions. Adoption of NIMS keeps the district eligible to apply for certain FEMA funding tied to emergency operations planning.
