Mary Gold, Brenham ISD’s federal programs coordinator, briefed trustees on the district’s ESSA allocation for the coming year and described how each Title fund is used. She said Title I is allocated $1,216,971 to support the district’s five Title I campuses and related services for students from low‑income families.
Gold said Title II is $206,534 and will be used for professional‑development expenses (district instructional coach and PLC facilitator stipends). She described Title III funding as two parts — a $64,411 allocation plus $11,750 specifically for immigrant students — used for literacy coaching and curriculum work. Title IV was listed at $87,982 to support STEAM teachers, technology and related professional development. Gold noted these are allocations subject to final adjustment during TEA’s August evaluation and that the district must reserve portions of Title I funding for required activities (for example, services for homeless students and parent‑family engagement).
