Public Works Assistant Director Brittany Armijo presented a list of fixed assets identified as obsolete or non-operational, including dump trucks, a side-loading trash truck, a passenger van, a mobile tire baler and a generator. Armijo said the items had exceeded their useful life, been replaced, or were no longer cost-effective to repair, and recommended declaring them surplus and disposing of them through the public government surplus website.
Council approved the disposal by a unanimous 3-0 vote (moved by Councilor James Runyon; seconded by Councilor Christopher Ortiz). The motion allows staff to proceed with surplus declaration and sale in accordance with established procedures.
