Borough attorney clears TaxServ proposal; towing licenses set for renewal

Daniel Lagana, the Borough Attorney, reported that the proposal submitted for municipal court debt collection complies with the Borough's bid document requirements and the Local Public Contracts Law; a resolution to award a contract to TaxServ Capital Services NJ will be placed on the Jan. 15 agenda.
Council also agreed to place a resolution renewing towing licenses for ABC Towing (1580 Bergen Boulevard), Apex Auto Body Inc. (1490 Bergen Boulevard) and Sano's Towing (344 Bergen Boulevard, Palisades Park) for the Jan. 1–Dec. 31, 2026 licensing period.
The work session did not include contract values, performance metrics for debt collection, or revisions to towing fees; those details and the award confirmation will be part of the Jan. 15 agenda materials.
