Council to award Boswell engineering contracts; accepts county grant for Ellery Avenue improvements
Summary
Council reached consensus to award three engineering contracts to Boswell for Summit Avenue, Ellery Avenue and Inwood Terrace Park improvements and agreed to accept a County of Bergen Division of Community Development grant for Ellery Avenue road improvements; formal resolutions will be placed on Jan. 15.
The Mayor and Council reviewed proposals from Boswell for three capital projects and reached consensus to award contracts for Summit Avenue improvements, Ellery Avenue improvements and Inwood Terrace Park improvements.
Council also agreed to accept a grant from the County of Bergen Division of Community Development for the Ellery Avenue road improvements. Resolutions awarding the contracts and accepting the grant will be placed on the Jan. 15 agenda for formal approval; the minutes note the governing body "consensus" to award Boswell the contracts.
The work session did not include contract amounts, bid tabulations, or construction schedules; staff will present those details with the resolutions on Jan. 15.
