Hutchinson city administrator sets Aug. 11 council meeting for 4 p.m. because of primary election

Manana Hutchinson, the city administrator, told listeners that the Hutchinson City Council meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 11, will begin at 4:00 p.m. to accommodate the primary election that day. “And because of the primary election, our city council meeting on the 11th will start at 04:00PM,” Hutchinson said.
The city normally meets at 5:30 p.m.; Hutchinson said the earlier start is intended to allow council members and residents to vote. She also reminded residents that polling places will be open all day on Aug. 11 and encouraged voters to use local polling locations. Hutchinson closed by inviting questions in advance of the meeting via email and welcoming public attendance at City Center.
