Burleson ISD cancels May 3 trustee election after certification of unopposed candidates

At its March 10, 2025 meeting the Burleson ISD Board of Trustees approved the Certification of Unopposed Candidates and the Order of Cancellation for the called trustee election scheduled for May 3, 2025. The motion was made by Ryan Richardson and seconded by Pat Worrell; the vote was unanimous.
The minutes record the formal cancellation action but do not list the names of the unopposed candidates. The Board’s action means the District will not hold the May 3 election for those positions and will follow statutory procedures for certifying unopposed candidates.
