Broaddus ISD reports A ratings, donation for sidewalk and fall enrollment

Superintendent Mr. Holloway told trustees that Broaddus ISD received strong STAAR results and community support as the school year opened. "STAAR scores came back outstanding! The district received an (A) 96 for the 2023-2024 school year and an (A) 96 for the 2024-2025 school year," he said, and the district plans an on-campus celebration to recognize both campuses.
Mr. Holloway also reported the district was "granted a donation from the San Augustine Hospital District for a sidewalk connecting the gym parking lot to the baseball/softball fields" and credited community groups and businesses — including several churches, Higginbotham A/C and The Lions Club — for providing meals and support during in-service. District enrollment for the year was reported as 378.
