County approves park pipe repair bid, bridge bid package and two rezoning requests

Arthur Capella presented planning, zoning and community development items. The commissioners ratified Rishel Excavating & Trucking as the low bidder to install a 30-foot by 6-inch pipe at Dunlap Creek Park for $7,000, to be paid from Hotel Tax funds.
The board also approved publishing a bid package for renovation of Bridge 182‑Dutch Hill with an anticipated bid opening on July 9, 2026, and placed two rezoning requests on the agenda: RZ 26‑03 (Dora Neel Yakubic, Luzerne Township, R‑1 to A‑1) and RZ 26‑04 (Owen & Carrie Palonder, Jefferson Township, R‑1 to B‑1). All motions passed unanimously.
The planning office will publish required notices and proceed with procurement and public hearing steps as required by local procedures.
