Bryan ISD used the Oct. 21 meeting to acknowledge multiple student and staff achievements. Dr. Christina Richardson, Shannon Adams and Sarah Patterson presented certificates to Advanced Academics students; Rudder High School received a College Board Bronze Level Honor cited by Principal Rachel Layton; and the district recognized Christian Garcia Sanchez as a National Merit Semifinalist.
Staff recognitions included Teachers of the Month for elementary and secondary campuses introduced by principals Gloria Garcia Rhodes, Kimberly Guess, and Dr. Karen Kaspar; Josephine Garrett was named October Auxiliary Employee of the Month by Transportation Director Lori Sears, with attendees noting Garrett’s more-than-38-year service. Teri Clark was recognized as the Texas Elementary Art Educator of the Year by Pat Corbett, and Kimberly Giesenschlag and Daniel De La Rosa received Texas ASCD awards for campus and instructional leadership.
