Butler County readies requests for extra DDAP funds as 5‑year plan is finalized

Butler County Drug & Alcohol Director Donna Jenereski told the advisory board on Feb. 17 that the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) finalized the next five‑year grant agreement and accompanying manuals, and that the county’s signed copy was submitted to DDAP on Jan. 15, 2026; the county is still awaiting a fully executed document.
The board was briefed on major timeline milestones tied to DDAP’s broader planning work: DDAP has redesigned the five‑year Treatment Needs Assessment into a longer, more detailed process and the final treatment and service plan will be due Nov. 27, 2026. Separately, DDAP is accepting FY2025–2026 mid‑year additional funding requests, due Feb. 27, 2026; Jenereski said Butler County plans to request funds for treatment, case management, recovery support services, housing and housing‑related case management, and additional problem‑gambling prevention funding. DDAP is also hosting monthly webinars for single county authorities (SCAs) to answer process questions.
