The Board of Trustees of Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD held a pre-meeting briefing on Oct. 3, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the district administration board room. President Randy Schackmann called the briefing to order and the minutes list trustees Tara Hrbacek, Kim Brady, Marjorie Barnes, Carolyn Benavides, Ileana Garza-Rojas and Cassandra Hatfield as present along with Superintendent Dr. Wendy Eldredge and executive staff.
Board minutes record three administrative reports presented during the briefing — a facilities item on public address system upgrades, a curriculum payment to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for K–5 English and Spanish language arts resources, and a renewal of the Goalbook Toolkit for special services — and a staff briefing on the posted agenda for an upcoming regular meeting. The minutes state the board adjourned at 6:18 p.m. The minutes also reference a regular meeting "scheduled for 7:00 PM on June 6, 2024," a date that appears inconsistent with the Oct. 3, 2024 briefing and is noted as such in the audit.
