The Omak City Council on March 16 adopted the Okanogan County Emergency Management Plan after a departmental review.
Fire Chief Jeremy Patrick told council he had reviewed the county plan, found no major changes and "recommends approval." Member Steve Clark moved approval of Resolution 29‑2026, Member Michelle Gaines seconded, and the council voted unanimously to adopt the plan.
Adoption aligns the city's emergency response framework with the county plan; staff noted there were no substantive edits required at the municipal level in this version of the plan.
