Bryan ISD says 2020 bond projects nearing completion; estimates $2.23 million in savings

Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Kevin Beesaw reported that the district’s $175,000,000 2020 bond program is progressing across multiple categories, including safety and security, construction and additions, priority maintenance and mechanical/plumbing upgrades. He said O.W. Sadberry’s Phase II — which includes a play and park area and a walking trail — is expected to be complete by Spring 2025, and the Ruby Haliburton Auxiliary Complex is already in operation following a Sept. 23, 2024 dedication.
Beesaw told the board that many projects are nearing completion and that, because of careful fund monitoring and projects coming in under budget, the administration expects approximately $2,232,549 in bond savings. The administration listed fencing, shade structures and classroom additions among near-complete projects.
